Epic Games released the patch notes for Fortnite Update 8.50. You can play the new patch after today’s downtime. The servers are probably offline for a few hours, depending on the region you are playing in.

After the update, players of Battle Royale will be able to play the new time-limited mode launched on the theatrical release of Avengers: Endgame. Thanos and his army attack the Battle Royale Island in search of the six infinity stones. In the Endgame LTM, a team of heroes is fighting to prevent Thanos and his Chitauri army from gathering all six Infinity Stones. You can pick any of the two sides. Both teams will continue to respawn until one team has picked all the Infinity Stones.

In Fortnite game mode of the Avengers: Endgame, the heroes begin with a treasure map that leads them straight to a mythical Avengers weapons. The objective of the hero team is to crush the Chitauri army and defeat Thanos. The first Chitauri who holds an Infinity stone transforms into Thanos. He has a powerful punch, a destructive AOE attack and the ability to jump high in the air and smash everything in his path when he lands. Every time an Infinity stone is picked up by Chitauri, Thanos’ power grows and the Chitauri also gain some abilities. As soon as Thanos is eliminated, another Chitauri transforms into him after a short wait.

Bug Fixes

In addition, the Fortnite Update 8.50 contains a lot of changes to the weapons and items for Battle Royale. If a player in a vehicle is eliminated by falling damage, the elimination is attributed to the player who dealt the last damage to the vehicle. The patch notes also contain tons of bugfixes for audio and graphics.

Creative Mode Changes

In the changelog to the new Fortnite Patch 8.50 Epic Games also lists some new features for the creative mode. Now, new game settings are available, such as the ability to add rounds. At the beginning of a new round, everything is reset to its original state. After each round, the winner is announced according to the new display settings for the points. We also welcome a new feature called the phantom mode. Here you can switch the collision with objects and the world on and off. In the Phantom mode, you move freely through any terrain. In addition, there are a number of bug fixes and optimizations for the creative mode in the update 8.50. For example, the garbage bag’s display distance has been increased so that it is visible from a greater distance.

The new LTM mode, bug fixes and changes to the creative mode indicate how much effort Epic Games in putting in its title. We love these changes and surely hope that the developer continues to strive. We believe that at the moment, Fortnite is far superior to its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends, and PUBG.
