Aurelion Sol and Yuumi Nerfs, New Champion Milio is Released

by Rohat Dicle Kılınç

The new LoL patch 13.6 will be out on live servers on March 23.

After a string of patches heavy with changes and pages of patch notes, Riot is slowing down a little as pro leagues slowly go into their playoffs and we get ready for the eventual big MSI patch. This will be the first patch in about a month that won’t see massive jungle or support changes focused on changing the meta in solo queue and pro play.

Of course, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any significant changes. On the systems side the game will see some minor adjustments to items, runes and drakes mainly focused on helping with the bot lane dominance in the meta. Some of the items and runes ADCs use like Bloodthirster and Navori are getting nerfed to help with the massive three-item power spike in the mid game, while the most powerful drakes are losing some of their power so a winning bot lane won’t snowball as hard as they do now. These changes are in a necessary direction, especially for pro play, but shouldn’t affect the solo queue players too much.

When it comes to champions there aren’t too many changes to talk about except the two big recent problems, Aurelion Sol and Yuumi. Both champions have been getting a lot more attention from the community recently after they got reworked, or semi-reworked in Yuumi’s case. Not to mention their power levels were in a place that felt too oppressive, so it isn’t a surprise that they are nerfed. Unless you really hate the cat, you might not need to ban it in your solo queue games after this patch.

Milio, the Gentle Flame

  • Fired Up!
    • Innate: Whenever Milio hits himself or an allied Champion icon.png champion with an ability, he enchants the target for 4 seconds, causing their next basic attack or ability to deal bonus magic damage and apply a burn that deals magic damage over 1.5 seconds.
  • Ultra Mega Fire Kick
    • Milio kicks a fireball in the target direction after a 0.25-second delay that knocks back and stuns the first enemy hit over 1 second. After collision, the ball bounces once toward the target’s location and explodes upon dropping to the ground, dealing magic damage to enemies within the area and slowing them for 1.5 seconds.
    • Cooldown: 12
    • Magic Damage: 90/135/180/225/270 (+90% AP)
    • Slow: 40/45/50/55/60% (+5% per 100 AP)
  • Cozy Campfire
    • Milio summons an empowerment zone at the target location for 6 seconds that follows the closest nearby allied champion at the cast location, including himself. Allied champions and Milio within the area gain increased base attack range and heal every 0.24 seconds over the duration.
    • Cooldown: 29/27/25/23/21
    • Increased Base Attack Range: 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%
    • Heal per Tick: 3.2/4.4/5.6/6.8/8 (+0.6% AP)
  • Warm Hugs
    • Milio envelops himself or the target allied champion in protective flames, granting them a shield and bonus movement speed for 2.5 seconds.
    • Milio periodically stocks a Warm Hugs charge, up to a maximum of 2.
    • Shield Strength: 60/90/120/150/180 (+30% AP)
    • Bonus Movement Speed: 15/17.5/20/22.5/25%
    • Recharge: 17/16/15/14/13
  • Breath of Life
    • Milio unleashes a wave of soothing flames that affects himself and all nearby allied champions, healing them, cleansing them of all non-airborne crowd control and granting them tenacity for 3 seconds.
    • Cooldown: 160/145/130
    • Heal: 150/250/350 (+30% AP)
