Misfits Gaming v SK Gaming

MSF SK

With two sides pushing for playoffs, this had the makings of an important game for both sides. first blood over the MSF, who had already found an early 1k lead. By the 10-minute mark, MSF had two more kills, as their lead had ballooned to 2.2k. By the mid-game, MSF had a 5k lead, with SK still yet to pick up a single kill or tower. While MSF had claimed their second Rift Herald of the game. SK would finally get a kill at the Baron fight, sadly it was little more than a cancellation kill as MSF claimed a Baron. With minions pouring into the SK base, MSF and their 10k lead rose to the challenge with SK unable to put up a fight. SK pulled the trigger but it wasn’t enough, as MSF claimed a relatively easy victory inside 27-minutes.

  • Teams: MSF – SK
  • Time: 26:50
  • Kills: 16-2
  • Turrets: 11-1
  • Gold: 54.7k – 43.1k
  • Dragons: 2-2
  • Barons: 1-0

Astralis v Rogue

AST RGE

Having lost their top spot in the LEC, AST would look to capitalize on the slight dip in form. It was the ideal start for AST, claiming a quick first blood. Already well into the mid-game, with very little happening across the RIft. Despite that, AST maintained a slender 2k lead as RGE reverted back to slowing down the game. Typically, Baron saw the game come to life, though it was the Drake fight that caused the next action. Once again it was AST that came away on top, knocking down members of RGE and securing the Baron. RGE couldn’t catch a break, with AST pushing down the RGE bot-side and claiming two more kills. With Baron having worn off, AST were right back at it winning a 5v4 team fight and claiming four kills with RGE split across the map. AST claimed the second Baron of the game, as RGE had to make do with just a tower. Baron was enough for AST to win the game, with RGE completely unable to answer the pressure.

  • Teams: AST – RGE
  • Time: 31:27
  • Kills: 18-6
  • Turrets: 10-2
  • Gold:  64.7k – 51.6k
  • Dragons: 2-2
  • Barons: 2-0

MAD Lions v Excel Esports

MAD XL

MAD were in the form of their lives coming into the game, and a win would see them create space at the top of the LEC. First blood was secured by MAD, though XL quickly traded it back. An active early game would see MAD find a 3k lead at just 7-minutes, with 7 kills in total. Heading into the early mid-game, 17 kills had been secured, though MAD maintained their lead of 3k. Jumping ahead to the Baron spawn and we had 25 kills across the map, with MAD still ahead. Though their lead had extended to 4k. After the hectic start, the game slowed down with Baron on the map. MAD maintained their lead but XL had started to maintain pressure. MAD secured the Baron, trading it for a Drake as both sides say on 2 Drakes each. Baron looked to be enough, as they opened up the XL base. Pushing into the top-lane, MAD couldn’t be stopped as XL failed to come back.

  • Teams: MAD – XL
  • Time: 35:14
  • Kills: 21-13
  • Turrets: 10-4
  • Gold:  69.1k – 57.6k
  • Dragons: 2-2
  • Barons: 1-0

Fnatic v Team BDS

MAD XL 1

FNC are now on their worst run in over 8 years, there’s no way it could get worse against BDS? FNC got the ideal start, picking up two early kills as they look to find a win. BDS did find a way into the game a few minutes later, though FNC had a 1k lead. The second Rift Herald saw the next action, and it was FNC who got the objective and the team fight win. With Baron spawning, FNC still had the advantage, sitting at a 4k advantage. FNC forced a fight at the next Drake, they secured an ace, a Drake and moved towards Baron. With Baron, FNC pushed into the BDS base having knocked down two inhibitors. After resetting, FNC came back for the final inhibitor and with it the game was over. That loss meant BDS couldn’t make the playoffs as their Summer Split was over at week 6.

  • Teams: FNC – BDS
  • Time: 29:12
  • Kills: 14-3
  • Turrets: 11-3
  • Gold: 57.2k – 46.6k
  • Dragons: 2-2
  • Barons: 1-0

G2 Esports v Team Vitality

G2 VIT

CaPs and Perkz meet once again, as G2 and VIT meet with even scores in the LEC. VIT secured the first blood, as Perkz was able to take down caPs with the help of his jungle. VIT dominated the early game, giving up just one kill for seven in the opening 13-minutes. As the game went on, VIT continued to control proceedings. With 17-minutes on the clock, they’d moved to 6k ahead with Baron shortly entering the Rift. VIT were easily able to secure the Baron, with G2 left licking their wounds unable to do anything to stop them. With Baron, VIT broke into the G2 base, without managing to bring down any of the inhibitors. With Baron having warn off, VIT secured the Soul Drake before knocking down four members of G2. Only caPs was left alive to defend the base, as VIT were left to tear down the inhibitors. Stopping at two, VIT looked to reset with G2 looking to chase them. Having reset, VIT came back and this time it was enough to fell the G2 base. With the ace secured, the Nexus was next as VIT were able to take down the mighty G2. The win saw VIT go above G2, who had started to fall off in their chase of the top spot in the LEC.

  • Teams: G2 – VIT
  • Time: 28:21
  • Kills: 3-22
  • Turrets: 2-11
  • Gold: 43.6k – 58k
  • Dragons: 0-4
  • Barons: 0-1
