This partnership sees two esports organisations collaborate in order to enhance both brands. Team Flash has been active in the SEA market since 2017 and fields competitive teams across a number of games. This includes League of Legends and Arena of Valor in Vietnam, as well as, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in Singapore.

Meanwhile, BURN Gaming is a Cambodia-based organisation focused on Mobile Legends. The organisation is set to compete in MPL Cambodia Spring 2022, which is one of MOONTON’s seven active professional leagues.

Team Flash CEO, Mark Chew, commented: “There is vast potential in the esports scene in Cambodia, so we are very excited to be working with BURN Gaming to penetrate this new market. The popularity of Mobile Legends is ever-growing, and it is difficult to see its interest wane anytime soon, so I am confident that this partnership will flourish and hopefully open new opportunities for aspiring gamers in Cambodia.”

According to the release, the two organisations will also work closely on analysing each other’s gameplay to identify strategies and areas of improvement.

BURN Gaming’s founder, Lee Xin, added: “Team Flash has such a big presence in countries such as Thailand and Vietnam so partnering up with them will really help our esports athletes grow and reach their full potential. There has been an increased interest in esports in recent years, but with the Covid pandemic, the growth of the sport has definitely accelerated significantly in the past year.”

Esports Insider says: It’s quite rare to see two SEA-based organisations team up to enhance performances, especially within the same title. It’ll be interesting to see how both organisations benefit from this deal in the long term, especially with Team Flash looking to expand its brand presence into other areas.
