Gaming monitor brand AOC has announced an extension of its sponsorship of esports organization G2 Esports. AOC will provide G2 PC game players with “high performance” monitors, and collaborate with the team on a variety of activations in 2020 including event appearances, community tournaments, and giveaways. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
G2 and AOC began their partnership in early 2018. During that time, the organization’s brand has grown in popularity due in large part to the competitive success of its League of Legends team, which finished second at the World Championship in 2019.
Ahead of the World Championship, G2 Esports announced a deal with Mastercard, and recently secured a $10M USD financing round from Brooklyn Nets owner Joseph Tsai.
